The 54th National Annual Convention of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), held on February 13-14, 2025, at Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) in Punjab, marked a significant milestone in advancing India’s educational and skill development landscape. Under the theme “Vision 2047: Transforming the Education System for Making India the Skill Capital of the World,” the convention brought together over 5,000 participants, including policymakers, academic leaders, industry experts, faculty, and students, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations.
A highlight of the convention was the “Chasse Aux Talent” competition, a dynamic open mic event designed to uncover and celebrate the diverse talents of participants. This platform allowed individuals to showcase their skills in various domains, fostering creativity and encouraging self-expression among the youth.
Concurrently, the “Yuva Kaushal Utsav 2025” featured a series of skill-based competitions aimed at enhancing the practical abilities of students. These events included ideathons, technical paper presentations, project displays, and poster presentations, providing participants with opportunities to demonstrate their technical prowess and innovative thinking.
The convention also hosted several conclaves, including sessions for vice-chancellors, faculty, students, and principals, facilitating in-depth discussions on transforming India’s education system to meet global skill demands. Additionally, exhibitions showcased projects, industry innovations, and publications, highlighting the collaborative efforts between academia and industry.
Cultural programs celebrated India’s rich heritage, adding a vibrant dimension to the convention. Participants also had the opportunity to explore notable sites in Punjab, such as the Rock Garden in Chandigarh, the Wagah-Attari Border in Amritsar, and the Virasat-e-Khalsa museum, enriching their cultural experience.
The 54th ISTE National Convention and Yuva Kaushal Utsav 2025 successfully created a platform for meaningful dialogue and showcased the nation’s commitment to empowering its youth through skill development and educational transformation.
