Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab, proudly hosted the District Round of the National Youth Parliament 2026, a prestigious national initiative aimed at nurturing youth leadership, democratic understanding, and civic participation. The event was organized under the My Bharat Initiative of the Government of India, with LTSU serving as the Nodal Centre for District Nawanshahr.
This year’s Youth Parliament was centered around the thought-provoking theme:
“50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy.”
The topic encouraged young minds to explore the constitutional, political, and social implications of the Emergency period in India while reflecting on how those lessons continue to shape the democratic fabric of the nation.
A total of 21 students from across the district took part in this intellectually stimulating competition. Participants showcased an impressive grasp of parliamentary procedures, national issues, and democratic values through well-structured presentations, debates, and simulated parliamentary sessions.
