Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU) Punjab hosted the 54th National Annual Convention of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the inaugural Yuva Kaushal Utsav on February 13-14, 2025. This landmark event, themed “Vision 2047: Transforming the Education System for Making India the Skill Capital of the World,” aimed to address global skill shortages by aligning India’s education system with industry demands.  
The convention brought together over 5,000 participants, including policymakers, academicians, industry leaders, and students from across India. Notable dignitaries such as S. Harpal Singh Cheema, Finance Minister of Punjab, and Dr. V.K. Paul, Member of NITI Aayog, emphasized the urgent need for skill-based learning to drive economic growth and empower Indian youth for international success.  
Key highlights of the event included the inauguration of the Centre for Future Skills, various conclaves for Vice-Chancellors, faculty, students, and principals, as well as exhibitions showcasing projects, industry collaborations, and publications. The Yuva Kaushal Utsav featured a range of competitions and seminars designed to foster innovation and practical skills among students. 
By hosting this convention, LTSU reinforced its commitment to bridging the gap between education and industry, positioning India as a leader in the global skill-based workforce.
