AIU Selection Trials: Nurturing Talent
Cricket Trials (Oct 21, 2024): Held at the LTSU Main Ground, the trials brought together 34 participants. Under the guidance of Coach Amit Dhanda and his team, players were evaluated through warm-ups, skill drills, and match simulations. The enthusiasm, skill, and sportsmanship on display marked a successful selection day.
Multi-Sport Trials (Oct 16, 2024): Football, Volleyball, and Basketball trials were conducted with the support of the Physical Education & Sports Department. Coaches Sonu Babu (Football), Manpreet Singh (Volleyball), and Navjot Kaur (Basketball) led vibrant sessions, identifying promising players for upcoming AIU events.
Taekwondo Championship Glory
From Nov 5 to 15, 2024, LTSU participated in the All India Inter-University Taekwondo Championship at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The team, led by Coach Rahul Singh Shekhawat, brought home:
– 2 Gold Medals
– 1 Silver Medal
– A wave of inspiration for future athletes
