Celebrating Academic Excellence and Guiding Students Towards Future-Ready Careers
Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab (LTSU) successfully organized its prestigious Educators Conclave, Career Counselling & Felicitation Ceremony for Outstanding Class 12 Students, bringing together students, parents, educators, government officials, and industry leaders under one roof.
The event was designed to recognize academic excellence, provide career guidance, and create awareness about the importance of skill-based education in today’s rapidly evolving world. With participation from more than 1,000 students representing over 150 schools across six cities, the conclave became one of the largest student engagement initiatives organized by the university.
A Platform for Inspiration and Career Guidance
The programme commenced with the welcoming of distinguished guests, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Sachin Jain, Executive Director – Admissions & Corporate Relations, who emphasized the need for career awareness, industry-oriented education, and skill development among young learners.
A presentation on Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab was delivered by Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Executive Dean, Commerce & Management, highlighting the university’s unique industry-incubated model, internship-embedded curriculum, and strong focus on employability and practical learning.

Addressing the gathering, Advocate Dinesh Chadha, Hon’ble MLA, Rupnagar, shared an inspiring message with students. He emphasized that skills are among the most valuable assets an individual can possess and that acquiring the right skills makes life’s journey easier and more successful.
He also appreciated the remarkable growth of LTSU and highlighted how the university has become a destination for students from 24 states across India. He further noted that Rupnagar is emerging as a significant educational hub with institutions such as IIT Ropar, NIELIT Ropar, and LTSU contributing to the region’s development.
Industry-Oriented Education is the Need of the Hour
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Manmeet Kakkar, Assistant State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Punjab, stressed the importance of skill-based education aligned with industry requirements.
He encouraged students to make informed career decisions, remain committed to continuous learning, and develop a strong work ethic. He also emphasized the importance of career counselling in helping students navigate future opportunities effectively.
Beyond Technical Skills: The Importance of Communication and Collaboration
In his special address, Mr. Viqaruddin Surki, Delivery Head, IBM Innovation Centre for Education, highlighted that technical expertise alone is not sufficient in today’s professional environment.
According to him, communication skills, teamwork, networking, problem-solving, and collaborative working are equally important for career success. He encouraged students to build a balanced combination of technical and soft skills to thrive in the modern workplace.

S. Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor of LTSU, reiterated the university’s commitment to transforming higher education through innovation, industry integration, and experiential learning.
Mr. Vimal Roy Manhotra, CEO of LTSU, emphasized that the future belongs to institutions capable of bridging the gap between academia and industry. He highlighted the university’s focus on employability, entrepreneurship, innovation, and practical exposure.
Senior academic leaders including Dr. H. P. S. Dhami, Executive Dean – Engineering & Technology, and Dr. N. S. Gill, Executive Dean – Pharmacy, also addressed the students and shared valuable insights about emerging career opportunities and the importance of practical skill development.
Recognizing Academic Excellence
One of the major highlights of the event was the felicitation of meritorious Class 12 students. More than 1,000 students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements and awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals based on their performance in Class 12 examinations.
The university also honoured distinguished guests, school principals, and educators for their invaluable contribution to the field of education and student development.
