Unleashing Innovation | Code Crafter 2.0: A 24-Hour Journey of Innovation, Team Spirit, and Triumph

“Hackathons aren’t just about code. They’re about courage, creativity, and camaraderie.”

Participating in Code Crafter 2.0, a 24-hour national-level hackathon hosted by CT University, Ludhiana, from 10th to 11th April 2025, was a transformative experience that pushed boundaries and sparked innovation. Sponsored by IBM, the event brought together the brightest minds from across the country, all fuelled by one goal: to create tech-driven solutions for real-world challenges.

Representing Lamrin Tech Skills University, I had the privilege of working alongside an incredibly dedicated team — Harshvardhan, Mehakpreet Kaur, and Amandeep Kaur. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a high-energy atmosphere that demanded focus, creativity, and resilience.

Our assigned theme was Space & Emerging Technologies, a domain as vast as our imagination. We zeroed in on a real-world challenge and began our 24-hour marathon of brainstorming, building, and debugging. Fueled by caffeine, passion, and purpose, we designed and developed a working prototype that we proudly presented to the panel.

The most unforgettable moment? Hearing our team name among the Top 15 Finalists, followed by the announcement that we had won the 2nd Prize for Best Innovation. That one moment of recognition made every sleepless hour, every line of code, and every roadblock worth it.

We were fortunate to be mentored by Mr. Satyam, a cybersecurity expert from CT University, whose guidance helped us stay focused and solution-oriented. The insights from IBM mentors further pushed us to think about scalability, real-world deployment, and user-centric design — lessons we’ll carry forward in all our future projects.

But Code Crafter 2.0 wasn’t just about code. It was an unforgettable blend of tech and fun — midnight quizzes, impromptu dance-offs, and even a DJ night that recharged our spirits when coffee failed. In those 24 hours, we didn’t just build a product — we built friendships, shared laughter, and discovered the power of teamwork.

Walking out of CT University as winners and learners, I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity, the people, and the journey. Code Crafter 2.0 wasn’t just a hackathon; it was a milestone.

Events like these remind us why we do what we do. And if this was just the beginning, the future is full of promise.
