World  Radiography Day Celebrations

The University School of Allied Health Sciences celebrated the World  Radiography Day on November 8th, 2024 in the Seminar Hall of the A-Block, LTSU. The Celebration was graced by distinguished guests, including faculty members, healthcare professionals, and students. On this event BLOOD DONATION CAMP was organised by Shri Shiv Kanwar Mahasaugh Charitable Trust under supervision of Mr Rakesh Sangar (President) along with Hospital Team of Sector 32 Chandigarh which include Doctors and other staff from hospital 

The theme for World Radiography Day2024 was "Seeing the Unseen". In this occasion, Prof (Dr.) Shyamal Koley, Dean, USAHS,  stressed the significance of World Radiography Day as a platform to initiate discussions on the  historic discovery of Radiology  and celebrated the essential role of Radiologists in modern healthcare delivery system. Ms. Nahida Bilal, Head of the Radiology  Department, expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts in health care system. From early disease detectionto guiding treatment decisions, radiologists and radiologic technologists are essential in providing quality patient care. Ms. Fahmia Feroz, Dr Shakir Shakoor, Ms. Rizwana Ashiq,Ms. Mitali Kar and other faculty members from USAHs were also present . More than 200 students from different healthcare programs attended the event, contributing their knowledge, skills, and creativity to spread awareness about Radiology. From organizing the blood Donation camp to performing in education a lectures and cultural activities, students showcased their dedication to promoting importance of Radiology  within their community.
