Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab in association with District Administration S.B.S Nagar organised the campaign to increase voting percentage initiated by the district administration of SBS Nagar Punjab. In this program; Election Observer Dr. Heera Lal; and Deputy Commissioner, SBS Nagar, Sh. Navjot Pal Randhawa addressed the students and faculty of the university and motivated them to start raising awareness among the people in contact with them so that the voting percentage could be 100 percent. An oath ceremony was performed to help ensure a free and fair election.
On this occasion, Sh. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that the students of the university should spread awareness to increase the voting percentage by guiding people to actively participate in the voting and choose the right government.
Dr. Heera Lal Observer, Election Commission of India, said that Voting power is the greatest power that can change the future of our country. On this occasion, He appreciated the Rangoli, Slogan writing, play and other activities performed by the university students to promote voting. He also advised the young students to vote wisely and motivate everyone for maximum voting. He also motivated the audience not to use plastic and to maintain a plastic-free life. He mentioned that this election will be Green Election as every voter will be given a plant after casting vote encouraging them to spread awareness about environment.
Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University, thanked the dignitaries and said that students and faculty must come forward and spread awareness about Right to Vote. She mentioned that LTSU has always been actively organising such awareness programs for community engagement and awareness. She appreciated the green election campaign initiated by the District Administration of SBS Nagar and the Government of India. SDM Balachaur Sh. Ravinder Bansal, Dr. Rajiv Kumar Mahajan Registrar LTSU, Mr. Satbir Singh Bajwa Joint Registrar LTSU, and other government officials were present on the occasion.
