The Orientation Programme spanned three days and was divided into two sessions. The first two days (13th-14th August 2024) focused on registration, document verification, and follow-up calls, all managed by the Class Incharges to ensure that student records were up to standard.
On 22nd August 2024, the main orientation session was held in the Seminar Hall, Block A. Ms. Kulwinder Kaur and Ms. Shikha Thakur welcomed the new students, providing an overview of the orientation activities. Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dean of the University, delivered a motivational speech, highlighting the University's mission, core values, and growth opportunities. Ms. Gurleen Kaur, Head of the Commerce Department, introduced the faculty, emphasizing their qualifications and areas of expertise to help students become familiar with their instructors.

Dr. Vikramjit Kaur, Deputy Dean, provided a comprehensive overview of the University's academic structure, including details on programs, specializations, industrial tie-ups, assessment methods, mid-semester tests (MSTs), attendance requirements, assignments, remedial exams, and academic integrity. She also introduced the Mentor-Mentee Programme, Grievance Redressal Cell, and general and specific behavioral guidelines, underscoring the importance of academic integrity and available support resources.

Ms. Indu Bala conducted the library orientation, guiding students through library resources and rules, and encouraging them to utilize the library for academic success.
To help students connect and build a sense of community, Ms. Amandeep Nagra and Ms. Mansi Kunda organized ice-breaking activities such as Untangled, Falling Balloons, and Musical Chairs. Additionally, Ms. Nitika Latawa and Ms. Manu Bala led a campus tour to familiarize students with key locations and facilities, aiding in their integration into university life.

Overall, the orientation successfully achieved its objectives, ensuring students were well-informed about academic expectations and university culture while fostering connections with peers and faculty.
