Rally to Honor Rape Victims and Demand Justice

The incident that occurred in Kolkata on August 9, 2024, has sent shockwaves across the entire nation. In response, the University School of Commerce & Management organized a rally on August 30, 2024, demanding justice for the young doctor. The students played a pivotal role in this mass movement, spreading a powerful message to society with their thought-provoking slogan, "Beta Padhao, Beti Bachao" (Educate Sons, Save Daughters). Through their speeches, they urged both the public and the government to take decisive action against such heinous crimes and called for the creation of a safer country for women.

All the Senior officials of Lamrin Tech Skills University were present at the event to support and encourage the students. Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro Vice Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of respecting women in all aspects of life—whether they are mothers, sisters, wives, or colleagues. She quoted Gurbani, saying, "So kyu manda akhiye, jitt jamme rajaan" (Why call her bad? From her, kings are born), underscoring the value of women. Dr. Kaur also advised female students to maintain grace and mutual respect in their classrooms and university campus

She appealed to everyone to uphold dignity and respect for each other, emphasizing that a balanced society relies on mutual respect. Students from other departments also participated in the rally with full enthusiasm, making it a powerful and united call for justice and safety.
