ONLINE LECTURE ON “SMARTs INVESTORS AWARENESS PROGRAM” BY SEBI

The University School of Commerce and Management at Lamrin Tech Skills University successfully organized an online lecture on Thursday, February 20, 2025. The session featured the esteemed resource person, Mr. Sanjeev Mangal, an experienced financial expert, who shared valuable insights on investor education and financial literacy under the SMARTs Investors Awareness Program initiated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Mr. Sanjeev Mangal, with his extensive knowledge in financial markets and investment strategies, provided students with a comprehensive understanding of SEBI’s role in regulating the securities market and protecting investors. He elaborated on the SMARTs (Securities Market Awareness and Regulatory Training) initiative, which aims to educate retail investors about responsible investing practices. During the session, Mr. Mangal highlighted various investment opportunities, including mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and commodities, and emphasized the importance of risk assessment and portfolio diversification.

The lecture also covered critical aspects of investor protection, addressing common financial frauds and scams that investors should be aware of.
