One-day workshop focused on educating participants about cybercrime awareness, TRAI guidelines
On February 18, 2025, Reliance Jio organized a one-day workshop at the University School of Commerce and Management, focused on educating participants about cybercrime awareness, TRAI guidelines, Jio services related to unwanted calls, and mobile tower radiation education. The workshop was attended by students and faculty members and aimed to provide practical insights into protecting personal information from online threats and effectively using the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) app for enhanced mobile service management and security. Mr. Sanjeev Vohra, a telecom expert from Reliance Jio, conducted an interactive on-site demonstration, guiding participants through the process of downloading, registering, and using the TRAI app. This session enabled attendees to manage their telecom services efficiently and make informed decisions. Mr. Rajesh Vohra addressed the rising threat of cybercrime, offering valuable insights into common online risks and emphasizing the importance of cyber-security in the digital age. Following this, Ms. Shikha introduced the TRAI app, explaining its features designed to empower consumers by providing better control over their telecom services. She elaborated on how users could access critical information regarding mobile numbers, service quality, Do Not Disturb (DND) registration, complaint registration, telecom consumer grievance reparation, and telecom regulations. The workshop concluded with a Q&A session led by Mr. Rajesh Vohra, where attendees had the opportunity to seek clarifications on securing personal information, managing online risks, and understanding the role of mobile service providers in combating cybercrime.
