Special Lecture on Tuberculosis Awareness at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab

A special lecture on Tuberculosis (TB) awareness was organized under the National Service Scheme (NSS) at Lamrin Tech Skills University, Punjab, under the guidance of Mrs. Ratan Kaur. The session was led by Dr. Kamal Deep (MBBS, MD – Pulmonary Medicine/Chest & TB), an esteemed specialist from Rajindra Hospital, Patiala, currently serving as the District TB Officer at Civil Hospital, Ropar.

Dr. Kamal Deep shared valuable insights into the types of TB, its symptoms, diagnostic tests, and treatment options. She emphasized the significance of early detection and timely medical intervention to prevent the spread of the disease. Additionally, the lecture highlighted the crucial role of nutrition in TB management, stressing the importance of a balanced diet rich in Vitamin C, E, D, and proteins to support recovery.

The session was highly informative and well-received by both students and faculty, enhancing awareness about tuberculosis prevention and control.
