Intensive IBM Training Program for B.Tech. CSE Students
University School of Engineering & Technology (USET), LTSU, Punjab, is proud to announce the successful completion of an intensive training program for B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) students, conducted by IBM industry practitioners. The training, held from April 29 to May 15, 2024, aimed to enhance the students' skills in various cutting-edge domains, including Design Thinking, Python Programming, Cyber Security, AI & ML, IoT & Data Science, and Applied Statistics.
The training program was meticulously designed to integrate hands-on sessions with theoretical knowledge, fostering a collaborative and immersive learning environment.
Key Highlights of the Training Program:
- Design Thinking: Led by Ms. Aparna Paurana, students explored innovative problem-solving techniques, emphasizing user-centric design and creativity.
- Python Programming: Under the guidance of Mr. Deen Mohammad, students gained a clearer understanding of programming fundamentals and their industrial applications.
- Cyber Security: Dr. Ajay Kushwala equipped students with the principles, practices, and tools necessary to tackle modern security challenges.
- Applied Statistics: Dr. Mythili focused on providing a comprehensive understanding of statistical concepts and their practical applications in the real world.
- AI & ML: Dr. Jagjeet Kumar introduced students to the fundamentals and advanced concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
- IoT & Data Science: Mr. Archit Verma covered the critical aspects of the Internet of Things and Data Science, preparing students for the evolving technological landscape.
The primary goal of this program was to prepare students for emerging technologies and equip them with the necessary skills to thrive in the IT industry. The collaboration between LTSU and IBM underscores the university's commitment to providing its students with industry-relevant education and practical experience.
Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor of LTSU, congratulated the School of Engineering and Technology for organizing this event and acknowledged the IBM team for their support in enhancing the skills of B.Tech. CSE students as per industry requirements.
Dr. H.P.S. Dhami, Dean USET, along with other faculty members from the University School of Engineering and Technology, actively participated in the program by gathering feedback from students and assessing their newly acquired skills. The mentorship and guidance provided by IBM experts encouraged students to tackle real-life problems, thoroughly explore each topic, and develop the thought processes essential for a successful career in the tech industry.
