IBM leadership team Inaugurated OPD and labs of University School of Allied Health Sciences at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab
The University School of Allied Health Sciences marked a significant milestone today with the grand inauguration of its Outpatient Department Physiotherapy OPD and Labs by the IBM leadership team comprising Mr. Sanjeev Mehta, Dr. Mani Madhukar, Mr. Viquarudin Surki and Mr. Shivam Sharma. This development aims to enhance healthcare services for both the university community and the public, with a focus on innovative patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor, LTSUincluding faculty members, healthcare professionals and students. All the university officials including Dr. A.S. Chawla, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rajiv Mahajan, Registrar attended the program. The OPD and labs were made functional on the occasion of Teachers Day emphasizing the importance of accessible healthcare facilities and the role of the OPD in bridging the gap between academia and practical healthcare delivery.
Chancellor Dr. Kaura said that opening of this OPD reflects university’s commitment to providing top-tier healthcare services while also offering hands-on experience to the students. This facility will not only benefit the university community but will also serve the wider public, promoting health and wellness in the region.The OPD is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities, catering to various specialties including physiotherapy, medical diagnostics and public health consultations. Patients will benefit from the expertise of trained professionals and students from the School of Allied Health Sciences which will be supervised by senior faculty.
Prof. (Dr.) Shyamal Koley Dean, USAHS, remarked that this is a major step towards integrating education and service. Students will have the opportunity to engage directly with patients, enhancing their practical skills and understanding of real-world healthcare challenges. The faculty of Allied Health Sciences &team from MARS Education were also present on this occasion.
