Exam Guidelines

 

Registration Workflow for Online Entrance Exam for IBM B.Tech. CSE:

 

1. Prior to taking the Entrance Test, candidate have to register online at LTSU website for IBM B.Tech. CSE Registration link (ltsu.ac.in or ltsu.ac.in/ibm register now) after checking their eligibility as mentioned on the website.
2. Registration for entrance exam starts from 1st Feb. 2024 onwards.
3. Registered candidates to thoroughly study the exam guidelines at ltsu.ac.in/ibm
4. Registered candidates will receive Software generated candidates’ Login Id and password for taking the entrance exam through registered email id
5. Only students who have received software generated can appear for the entrance exam.

Pre-Exam Workflow for Online Entrance Exam for IBM B.Tech. CSE:

1. IBM B.Tech. CSE Entrance Exam Software triggers an e-mail to the candidates prior to the Entrance Exam with login credentials (need to check spam folder also).
2. Post Login student will see the link “Start Entrance Test” at the link: The Exam link will be active on Tuesday & Friday
3. IBM B.Tech. CSE Entrance Exam Software allows the candidates to login anytime and view the Entrance Exam Instructions Only.
4. Once he/ she click on that, the system will ask student to show Photo ID Proof which will be read by Online Proctored System.
5. Candidate will be allowed in online examination Hall, where he/ she will see a single (1) Question per page.
6. Candidate will have to submit the each question and will not be able to come back and correct any answer once submitted i.e. No backtracking allowed.
7. Final Submission to be done after all Qs are attempted.

Syllabus & Structure

• Entrance Exam will comprise of Three (3) Sections –
  • Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning & Analytical Skills and
  • English Skills
• 60 Questions in 60 Minutes (20 Questions in each Section)
• Question Flow – Single question at a time, No backtracking.
• No Negative Marking.

Mock Test Exam Workflow:

1. IBM B.Tech. CSE Entrance Exam Software allows candidates to attempt Mock Test before appearing in the final exam.
2. Mock test is to check the system compatibilities only and make a candidate have a sensation of the exam room.

Exam Timings Slots:

Candidate can attempt On demand exam within a week after getting Login credentials (passkey).

1. Exam Timings Slot is of 60 mins each
2. Exam Window will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM only on Tuesday and Friday.

Candidate can attempt test in any one 60 mins slot.

 

About Online Entrance Exam for IBM B.Tech CSE:

• IBM B.Tech. CSE Entrance Exam can be taken through the link: Exam link not yet active
• For IBM B.Tech. CSE Entrance Exam, candidates to loginatleast 5 minutes prior to the Entrance Exam timings.
• Candidate must ensure that they have Valid Photo ID with them, the system will ask student to show Photo ID Proof which will be read by Proctored System.
• IBM B.Tech. CSE Entrance Exam Software allows the candidates to attempt the Exam, where he/ she will see a single Question per page/screen.
• On every Page/Screencandidate will have to submit the answer and will not be able to come back and correct any answer once submitted.
• Final Submission after all Qs are attempted.
• Test Time : 1Hrs (60mins)
• The Entrance Examination shall focus on Three (3) subject areas Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Analytical Skills and EnglishSkills, based on 12th Standard Syllabus.
• Candidate can take Online exam from anywhere.
• Candidate need to have Laptop/ Desktop/ Smart Devices with functional Web camera, mike and good internet connectivity.
• No extra material and no electronic devices should be present on the table/desk and in the area/room, except test-taking device.
• Pen/Pencil with blank sheet for calculations/ rough work is allowed.
• No talking and surrounding noise is permitted during exam.
• Candidates face should be clearly visible and room must be well-lit.
• All student activities during the exam will be tracked/recorded on Entrance Exam Software Platform.
• Candidate cheating will also be monitored, No toggling of screen/window is allowed and a warning will be flashed followed by forced logout, which can lead to disqualification.
• Candidate need to click the final submit button after completion of exam. In case of expiry of time or cheating forced logout will be done.
• The Entrance exam is proctored and video is recorded during the exam. If we find any cheating practice during the exam candidates' applications will be cancelled.

 

Post Entrance Exam for IBM B.TechCSE:

• After passing the exam, the candidate has to go through a Personal Interview (PI) and the shortlisted candidates will be informed.
• Shortlisted Candidates need to complete the interview within a week (7 days), after clearing the Exam. The PI schedule will be shared later.
• Candidate who clears the PI will be offered Provisional Admission Letter with Specialisation.
• The confirmation of seat will be done after document verification and submission of Academic & Hostel Fee..
