GUEST LECTURE ON "CYBERSECURITY: PRACTICAL INSIGHTS & THREATS"
The University School of Commerce and Management at Lamrin Tech Skills University successfully organized a guest lecture on Cybersecurity on Monday, March 10, 2025 for its BCA Students. The esteemed speaker Mr. Anshu Aneja, Director of ANSH InfoTech, and his expert team, including Mr. Ashish Jalota, Mr. Jaspreet Singh, and Ms. Natasha (Public Relations Coordinator), led the session. The lecture provided invaluable insights into modern cybersecurity challenges, threats, and practical solutions to safeguard digital privacy.
The event commenced with an introduction by Ms. Natasha Choudhary, who highlighted ANSH InfoTech’s achievements, particularly its successful student placements in leading multinational corporations such as Google, Microsoft, and Capgemini.
Following the introduction, Mr. Anshu Aneja took the stage, starting with the fundamentals of Kernel and Shell to establish a foundation for understanding cybersecurity concepts. He then delved into the practical aspects of cybersecurity, explaining how personal data is collected, used, and compromised by cyber attackers.
Further enriching the session, Mr. Ashish provided hands-on demonstrations on cybersecurity best practices, including:
- How to secure online connections from potential threats.
- Using urlscan.io to verify malicious links before clicking.
- Understanding how privacy.net/analyzer collects and exploits user data.
- A live demonstration of mobile hacking techniques, showcasing how cybercriminals exploit mobile cameras and steal personal information through malicious links or YouTube subscriptions.
Additionally, the session covered internship opportunities for BCA students, offering them exposure to real-world cybersecurity applications and career prospects in the field.
The lecture concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where the university faculty honoured Mr. Anshu Aneja and his team for their valuable contributions. A student delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for the speakers’ efforts in enhancing students’ understanding of cybersecurity threats and prevention techniques.
This guest lecture was a resounding success, equipping students with essential knowledge and practical skills in cybersecurity, reinforcing the importance of data protection, ethical hacking, and secure digital practices in the modern technological landscape.
